Reading Challenge

2023 Reading Goals and Resolutions

Read at least one book a month from my TBR pile. You might not think this is not much of a goal, but there are so many great books released every year, I have a tendency to read the new ones first. It will be a real challenge to ignore the new ones and read from the TBR stacks that are overflowing onto the floor.

Read 100 books for the Goodreads 2022 Reading Challenge. That equals 1.44 books a week. For me, that is a lot of books considering I work full time and writing reviews and maintaining this blog requires time that eats into my reading time.

SeriesLove2023 Challenge:

I have at least 20 or more series that I have started and have not finished. Some I may never finish. However, there are others I have enjoyed and want to finish. This year I am trying to make a dent is these unread books that are part of a series. Here is a list of some of the series I am currently working on:

  1. The Argeneau paranormal romance series by Lynsay Sands
  2. The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J. R. Ward
  3. The Palladium Wars by Marko Kloos
  4. The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson
  5. The Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
  6. Red Rising Saga by Pierce Brown
  7. The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski
  8. King of Scars series by Leigh Bardugo
  9. Detective Willaim Warwick by Jeffery Archer
  10. Live Ship Traders series by Robin Hobb
  11. Expeditionary Force series by Craig Alanson
  12. The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher

Book Buying Resolution:

My TBR list is out of hand. With the physical books, the ebooks and audio books I own, I could easily read for more than ten years and not read a book twice. Therefore, I desperately need to limit my book buying. My goal is to limit myself to 1 book a week.

This will be my most difficult challenge to meet. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I will update my progress throughout the year so check back and see how I am doing.
